Hey, I’m David. I’m a designer with 6+ years of experience spanning Product, Visual, and Design Systems.

I bring a strong visual foundation to digital products, ensuring functionality never comes at the cost of form. I enjoy refining the details, building robust systems, and creating experiences that scale.

Studio A3: Streamlining AR/VR Learning

zSpace delivers immersive AR/VR learning experiences for K-12 education. As Lead Designer, I overhauled Studio A3, the flagship creation tool that empowers thousands of educators to build interactive 3D lessons. This was a critical modernization initiative designed to reduce cognitive load and streamline complex workflows for the company's largest user base.

I led the end-to-end visual redesign, accessibility expansion (adding mouse/trackpad support), and established a scalable Design System, partnering closely with product and engineering leadership. The redesigned app remains the ecosystem’s most-used tool, successfully expanded access to students without specialized hardware, and established the visual language now used across the entire product suite.

Device Hub: Automating Device Lifecycle

Deploying hardware in K-12 schools is notoriously difficult due to strict firewalls and manual licensing. Previously, IT admins faced a fragmented process: manually typing license keys for each app and troubleshooting vague network failures blind. This bottleneck slowed down deployments and spiked support tickets.

I led the visual redesign of the zSpace Device Hub, creating a unified interface that simplifies the 'out-of-box' experience. I translated complex technical workflows, such as network validation and bulk software installation, into an intuitive, visual process. By designing a clean, hands-free activation UI, I helped transform a technical headache into a reliable, one-click experience, reducing device setup time by an estimated 90%.
